Presentation Remote 1.4.3 is now available, and I wanted to take a moment to highlight a couple of the things you can now do.
The new version, as mentioned previously, includes the option to show the Presenter Display instead of the slide in Slide View mode. Keynote’s Presenter Display is highly customisable, and this means that if you wish, you can:
- choose to make the Next Slide display full-screen, for those of you who can already see The Big Screen while you present, but want a reminder of what’s coming up next; or…
- choose to make the current slide full-screen, which gives you the same effect as the regular slide view, but with one key difference: the Presenter Display doesn’t animate transitions, so as you step through builds, you won’t get screens captured mid-build.
So, while Presenter Display does usually require a bit of fiddling to get it set up the way you want it, the extra features you’ll get as a result are pretty useful.
