Stage Hand Features
With Stage Hand, you can start and stop your presentations, step forwards and backwards through the slides, and view your Presenter's Notes for the current slides. You can also tilt your iPhone/iPod Touch on its side to see the current slide itself, then tap anywhere to highlight that spot.
Those features were part of Stage Hand 1.0, but we didn't stop there. Stage Hand has been updated regularly since then, adding all of these extra features, for free:
- Before starting a presentation, you can pick which slide you'd like to start from.
- During a presentation, you can call up an index of all your slides, and skip directly to any one.
- You can adjust the font size of the Notes View (portrait) mode.
- You can choose to display the Notes View in "light on dark" mode, which can be helpful when presenting in darkened rooms.
- You can move from slide to slide in Slide View (landscape) mode using two-finger swipes.
- You can enable a timer which will tell you how long you've been talking for; or, alternatively, you can set how long your presentation should take, and it will count down for you. In this mode, if you're using an iPhone, it will vibrate the phone to warn you at 30 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and 1 minute remaining.
- You can customise the highlighting effect — we've added extra designs, and you can change the colour and how much the background is darkened. You can also resize it by "pinching" with your fingers.
- You can blank out the screen, fading smoothly to either black or white — useful for dealing with interruptions or if you need to improvise — simply tap the resume button to pick back up where you left off.
- You can turn your Mac's volume up or down with a pop-up slider.
- Stage Manager has a Wi-Fi Signal Meter; this isn't just another way of viewing the "signal bars", it actually tests the speed and responsiveness of your connection.
- On Macs which support it, you can ask Slide View mode to display Keynote's Presenter Display instead of the slide. Since Keynote allows you to customise the Presenter Display, you can arrange your own layout to suit your needs.
